A greenhouse aboard the Soviet space station Salyut. It was set up by Viktor Patsayev, one of the first three crew members to reside there. Scientists were uncertain that plants would grow naturally in space, and Patsayev was delighted to see seeds sprouting during his Soyuz 11 mission in 1971.
