For the purpose of the Official Secrets Acts 1911–89, information that is categorized as a secret code or password or that is intended to be (or might be) useful to an enemy. Under the Acts it is an offence for a Crown servant (or any other person subject to the provisions of the Acts) to disclose any information relating to UK security or intelligence matters without lawful authority.
