A play first printed in 1600, reprinted in 1619 as Shakespeare's, and included in the Third and Fourth Folios of his plays. It is certainly not by him, though the historical John Oldcastle seems to have been Shakespeare's original model for Falstaff. It is a collaborative work in which Munday and Drayton among others had a hand. The play deals with the proceedings in Henry V's reign against Oldcastle as the chief supporter of the Lollards. Its true authorship is unknown.
