A genus of fungi (formerly Ceratocystis) which includes a number of important plant pathogens. O. ulmi is the causal agent of Dutch elm disease. Other species cause disease in oaks (oak wilt), sweet potatoes, coffee, rubber, and sugar-cane, and some can cause staining of timber.
