The combination of lightheadedness, fatigue, altered mentation, and fainting with postural tachycardia and excessive plasma norepinephrine concentration. The symptoms may be produced by cocaine, amphetamines, or tricyclic antidepressants, or by an autosomal dominant loss‐of‐function mutation in the norepinephrine transporter.
