Certain rights and interests in registered land, listed in Schedules 1 and 3 of the Land Registration Act 2002, that are not protected by registration but, unless overreached, will bind the registered proprietor and any third party acquiring the land or any interest in it. The list includes legal easements and profits à prendre, rights of persons in actual occupation (Williams and Glyn's Bank Ltd v Boland [1981] AC 487 (HL), and leases granted for terms of up to seven years.
