The second Conference of the ‘Life and Work’ branch of the Ecumenical Movement was held at Oxford under the title of ‘Church, Community, and State’. It was agreed to take steps to fuse the ‘Life and Work’ Movement with that of ‘Faith and Order’. See also World Council of Churches.
