1. One of the p53 family of transcription factors. p63 mutations are involved in five distinct malformation syndromes: ectrodactyly, ectodermal dysplasia, and facial clefts syndrome (EEC3), split-hand/foot malformation-4 (SHFM4), limb–mammary syndrome, Hay–Wells syndrome, and acro–dermato–ungual–lacrimal–tooth (ADULT) syndrome.
