The popular name for the members of the ‘Congregation of Discalced Clerks of the Most Holy Cross and Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ’, founded by St Paul of the Cross. He drew up its rule in 1720 and erected the first house in 1737. The Passionists take a fourth vow to foster the memory of Christ's Passion.
