Swedish dancer. She studied at the Royal Swedish Ballet School, joining the Royal Swedish Ballet in 1961 and creating the role of Katerina in Grigorovich's Stockholm staging of The Stone Flower (1962); also roles in Tudor's Echoing of Trumpets (1963) and Macdonald's While the Spider Slept (1965). She additionally created a role in Macdonald's Rose Latulippe, for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. 1966. In 1972 she moved to Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, where her husband, Brian Macdonald, was artistic director. After retiring from the stage in 1984 she became founding artistic director of Ballet British Columbia in late 1985. She left the post in 1987 to pursue a freelance teaching career in Canada. In 2002 she was appointed director of the Dance Programme at the Banff Centre.
