Evangelical clergyman. He was incumbent of Christ Church, Barnet (1852–64) and of St Jude's, Mildmay Park, Islington (1864–73). In 1861 he founded what was to become the Mildmay Deaconess Institution, modelled on Kaiserswerth; it survived (as St Christopher's Deaconess House, Highbury) until 1940.
