personal contract

Show Summary Details

Quick Reference

A contract of employment that is negotiated by the individual employee and employer and which is not determined by and does not include clauses that are the result of collective bargaining. In many cases, ‘personal contract’ is something of a misnomer because these contracts take the form of ‘standardized packages individually wrapped’. In other words, the terms of personal contracts within a single organization are likely to be standard and set by the employer, rather than being tailored to the individual case through meaningful negotiations.
