A robot that monitors environmental conditions aboard a spacecraft. It was developed by NASA's Ames Research Center for installation on board the space shuttle and the International Space Station. The PSA is approximately the size of a cricket ball and has sensors to monitor a spacecraft's pressure, temperature, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. It also has navigation sensors and its own propulsion to operate autonomously throughout the spacecraft, as well as a camera for video conferencing.
