Danish architect. His early designs were influenced by the work of Hetsch, but in a heavier Italian style. He designed the Old Meteorological Institute on the Esplanaden in Copenhagen (1872–3), and the Royal Academy of Sciences, Dante's Place, Copenhagen (1894–8—an Italian palazzo, later rebuilt).
