(b Schlackenwerth, nr Carlsbad, c.1635; d ?Schlackenwerth, 23 July 1686). German composer. He twice served the Bohemian court at Schlackenwerth, with intervening posts at Güstrow (1662–5) and Gottorf (1665–73). His compositions include a cycle of 72 Geistliche Konzerte for the whole church year, many in dialogue form for solo voices, strings, and continuo, and a short oratorio on the Seven Last Words from the Cross, in which (unlike Schütz's version) the biblical account is augmented by free commentary.
