Describing a condition in which there are small pustules, or whitish elevations. In phlyctenular conjunctivitis (phlyctenular keratoconjunctivitis) there are small vesicles surrounded by a reddened zone on the inflamed conjunctiva of the eye, possibly as an allergic response to bacterial proteins, as in eczematous conjunctivitis.
