poet, travel writer, novelist, and journalist, best‐known for her outspoken writing about sex. Her satiric poetry collections include Sky Ray Lolly (1986), Private Parts (1987), The Perfect Man (1989), and Dogs (1996); and her travel books are Journeys to the Underworld (1988) and The Pan Principle (1994). She has also produced an anthology with some of her own translations, and The Literary Companion to Sex (1992).
