Quick Reference

A light source in which a current traverses a gas between two incandescent electrodes to generate an arc which produces light used to polymerize resins. It has a peak energy level of 900mW and a spectrum of 430–490nm, and therefore requires a much shorter curing time (1–2 seconds) than a conventional halogen lamp (20–30 seconds).
