1 According to the Purāṇas and the Mahābhārata, Kṛṣṇa's son by Rukmiṇī, and the father of Aniruddha. He is one of the five heroes of the Vṛṣṇi clan, and, according to some accounts, the reincarnation of Kāma.

2 According to Pāñcarātra cosmology, Pradyumna is one of the three vyūha forms (‘emanations’) of Viṣṇu (Vāsudeva). He is emanated by the Saṃkarṣaṇa form, and, in turn, emanates the Aniruddha form.
