(Skt.). Literally, ‘the cessation (nirodha) that arises as a result of reflection’. The achievement of this is viewed as synonymous with nirvāṇa. Pratisaṃkhyā-nirodha is classed as an unconditioned dharma (asaṃskṛta-dharma) by the Sarvāstivāda andYogācāra schools.
