A late check made before the launching of a spacecraft. Before a space shuttle is launched, at T minus 1 hour and 30 minutes, crew members (strapped into their seats) begin their preflight systems check. This includes checking gauges and other instruments, such as those measuring cabin pressure and temperature, and communication links with launch control at the Kennedy Space Center and mission control at the Johnson Space Center.
