Quick Reference

A term used, chiefly in Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇavism, to designate an experience (or rasa) of divine love concomitant with liberation, either in this body or at death. This is engendered by a persistent, selfless, and all-encompassing devotion to Kṛṣṇa, played out in a meditational practice involving the identification of the devotee (bhakta) with Kṛṣṇa's lover, Rādhā.
