The licence required under the Licensing Act 2003 for each premises where any ‘licensable activity’ is to take place. A licence is also required for premises which are hired out for ‘regulated entertainment’. The Act does not restrict the permitted opening hours but the council must decide within its published licensing policy and the licensing objectives.
