A puisne judge appointed by the Lord Chancellor to supervise the work of a particular circuit (see circuit system). Each circuit has two presiding judges with the exception of the South-Eastern circuit, which has the Lord Chief Justice and two puisne judges. There is a Senior Presiding Judge for England and Wales.
