Quick Reference

A graphical format very similar to the Joint Photographic Experts Group format. The major difference is that pictures developed using this format can be gradually displayed in the same way as interlaced GIF graphics. When a progressive JPEG image is loaded, the viewer gradually sees the image emerge from a sort of graphic fog until it becomes totally clear.
