Quick Reference

Proteins (precursor RNA processing proteins) involved in the multiprotein Prp19-associated complex (nineteen complex, NTC) that is associated with the spliceosome during spliceosome activation. There are at least eight proteins involved in the Prp-19 complex: Prp19 itself is one of the U-box family of E3 ubiquitin ligases, Prp3 is a U4/U6-associated splicing factor, Prp8 (2335 aa) is one of the larger proteins involved and is mutated in retinitis pigmentosa-13. Not to be confused with PrP (prion protein) or proline-rich proteins PRPs.
