Quick Reference

Symbol k. The square root of the ratio of the moment of inertia of a rigid body about an axis to the body's mass, i.e. k2 = I/m, where I is the body's moment of inertia and m is its mass. If a rigid body has a moment of inertia I about an axis and mass m it behaves as if all its mass is rotating at a distance k from the axis.
