Quick Reference

Was brother of Olaf, who ruled at York 939–41. He seems to have disputed the succession in 943 with Olaf Sihtricsson, and came to terms with Edmund of Wessex that year, receiving baptism. The following year, though, he was driven out and killed by Edmund.
