A genus of lichens in which the thallus is fruticose, typically flattened, and erect or pendulous. Apothecia are typically borne on the edges and/or ends of the thallus. Spores are septate, colourless, and often curved. Species are found on bark and on non-calcareous rocks, in unpolluted regions.
