The property of being responsive to stimuli, or (in relation to a mental disorder) of being precipitated by an external cause, notably with reference to reactive depression. In psychometrics, the property of some psychological measures of yielding scores that are influenced by the participants' or subjects' knowledge that their behaviour is being observed or measured.
