Quick Reference

A range of different proteins associated with various receptors have been given this name (e.g. TRAFs). The LDL receptor associated protein is a chaperone/escort protein that binds to lipoprotein lipase (LPL) and is a general antagonist for binding of ligands to LDL receptor family members. The LDL receptor associated protein is also involved in secretion of thyroglobulin.
