Repeated dislocations that most commonly involve the shoulder or knee and often result from too energetic early mobilization following an acute dislocation. Once a recurrent dislocation pattern has established, surgical fixation may be necessary, but an alternative for non-contact athletes, such as jockeys and motor cyclists, might be harnessing.
