An activity that requires a licence under the Licensing Act 2003. It is defined as: plays and films; indoor sport, boxing, and wrestling; live and recorded music; or dancing. Normal pub games, such as darts, are not covered because they are not provided for the entertainment of an audience, merely for the private enjoyment of the participants. The Act also exempts video advertising, incidental music, TV broadcasts, church services, garden fetes, private parties, Morris dancing, spontaneous events, and moving vehicles.
