‘Richardus de Mediavilla’, Franciscan philosopher and theologian. It is disputed whether he was English or French, and little is known of his life. He was certainly a regent master in Paris from 1284 to 1287. His chief works are a commentary on the ‘Sentences’ of Peter Lombard, which is notable for its clarity and precision, quodlibeta, and quaestiones disputatae.
