1. Retinoic acid-inducible gene I (RIG1, 925 aa) is an RNA helicase of the DEAD/H box family that is the receptor for intracellular viral double-stranded RNA. It activates NFκB and interferon regulatory factors (IRFs) through the adaptor protein MAVS. RIG-I must dimerize to signal and this self-association is blocked by LGP2.
2. Retinoid-inducible gene I (RIG1, 164 aa) is a growth regulator protein that suppresses cell growth and induces cellular differentiation and apoptosis.
