Danish dancer. She studied at the Royal Danish Ballet School graduating into the company in 1974 where she became solo dancer (principal) in 1982. Initially regarded as a soubrette, with her petite build and speed, she matured into a poetically expressive performer, dancing most of the principal roles in the Bournonville repertoire as well as modern works by, among others, Ailey, Balanchine, and Béjart, and creating a role in Neumeier's Birthday Dances (1990). In 1988 she formed a partnership with Julio Bocca and they guested together around the world. She retired in 1997.
