sacroiliac mobility test

Quick Reference

A test performed by asking the subject to stand on one leg and flex the opposite hip. A normal response is a downward (inferior) movement of the posterior iliac spine on the side of the flexed hip. Sacroiliac joint dysfunction is indicated if the posterior iliac spine does not descend, and internal rotation of the hip is often uncomfortable and slightly limited.

Subjects: Sports and Exercise Medicine.
