The third (0.12–0.075 Ma) of four interglacial stages recognized in mid-continental North America. It followed the Illinoian glacial episode and is the approximate equivalent of the Riss/Würm interglacial of the Alps. Early warm climates and later cooling climates are represented in well-exposed pollen spectra.
