Literally ‘chronicle of the doctrine’. An ecclesiastical chronicle in two parts compiled by Paññasāmi of Burma.in 1861. The first part of the work, which begins with the birth of the Buddha.and brings the history up to the Third Council (see Council of Pāṭaliputra II) and the sending of missionaries to nine different countries, concludes with an account of the religions of these countries. The second part is entirely devoted to Burma.
