Joint architect, with Pythios, or Pythius, of the celebrated Hellenistic Ionic mausoleum of Mausolus at Halicarnassus (begun c.353 bc), one of the finest buildings of Antiquity, embellished with sculpture of supremely vigorous quality, much of which is in the British Museum, London.
