(b Wöhrden, nr Hamburg, c.1596; d Hamburg, 1663). German organist and composer. He was the son of an organist who sent him to study for three years with Sweelinck in Amsterdam. He took his father's post at the Catharinenkirche, Hamburg, c.1625, and was much sought after as an adviser on organ-building.
