Quick Reference

Scholderer succeeded Proctor in the British Museum (1904–45) (seebritish library), where he contributed approximately three-quarters of the contents of the Catalogue of Books Printed in the XVth Century now in the British Museum (vols 1–8). Scholderer wrote more than 200 articles on 15th- and 16th-century printing. He was largely responsible for the short-title catalogues of the museum's Italian (1958) and German (1962) 16th-century books.
