Quick Reference

A security protocol similar to the Secure Sockets Layer. It was developed by a company called Enterprise Integration Technology. The major difference between this protocol and the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol is that Secure HTTP is built on top of the HTTP protocol while SSL is a separate protocol. Currently SSL is much more popular, mainly because it was the first of the two to be released.
