Quick Reference

Is a pejorative term for standardized training that is administered to large numbers of employees who undergo such training in batches. Examples might include training all workers on new health and safety procedures or training all managers in the elements of a new diversity policy. Large-scale, standardized training of this kind may be necessary but on occasion it is provided simply to demonstrate compliance with new laws or regulations. [See employee development.]
