A surgical procedure to raise the lining of the floor of the maxillary antrum and allow bone from the tibia, iliac crest, or chin to be inserted into the space obtained. It produces an increase in the vertical height of the alveolar bone and is carried out in order to provide sufficient bone for the retention of a dental implant.
