Ballet in one act with choreography by Börlin, music by Honegger, and design by Léger. Premiered 20 Jan. 1922 by Ballets Suédois at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Paris, with Figoni, K. Smith, and Börlin. Dominated by Léger's monumental Cubist designs it portrays skaters as grotesque caricatures of urban people. It was staged by Hodson for Zurich Ballet in 1996 and Royal Swedish Ballet (1998).
