(c.1884–1958). Founder of the Nigerian Progress Union and the West African Students' Union (WASU) born in Abeokuta, Nigeria. He was educated in Nigeria and Sierra Leone and in Britain, and was called to the Bar in 1926. As a student he was one of the first teachers of Yoruba at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London.
