Neil, Annette Page, M. Boulton, and D. Britton. This setting of Arnold's two Suites of English Dances portrays a young woman who attempts to join in the activities of her friends but always ends up alone. MacMillan described it as ‘A kind of game for one’. It has been revived for Stuttgart Ballet and Royal Danish Ballet (1961), Berlin Opera Berlin (1967), and London City Ballet (1996).
