The founder of a Śaiva Vedānta samprādaya. A Liṅgāyata, in his Śrīkarabhāṣya he draws on Rāmānuja's Viśiṣṭādvaita, adopting an essentially bhedābheda stance, characterized as Śaktiviśiṣṭādvaita (Śaktiviśeṣādvaita), ‘non-dualism qualified by Śakti’.
