(1857–1927), Georgia poet, popular for his simple, optimistic, patriotic lyrics. These were published in such volumes as Comes One with a Song (1898) and Songs from Dixie Land (1900). His newspaper column in the Atlanta Constitution was republished in part in Frank L. Stanton's Just from Georgia (1927).
